Don’t Let Toxic People Drag You Down

People dragging you down?

Maybe it is your co-worker Greg who consistently talks poorly about other people in your office, or maybe it is your girlfriend Jill who always seems to point out the negative in your relationship. Whatever the case, you are stuck in a quick sand trap of very destructive personalities which are most likely affecting your happiness.

The world is full of negative and pessimistic people who are ready to feed off of any happiness or enthusiasm you exude. Unfortunately, you cannot rid yourself completely of these people; however, you can remove them from your immediate circle of people you associate yourself with.

Begin your venture back to happiness by singling out those people in your life who may be dragging you down with their negativity. You don’t ever want to burn bridges with people, so handle these situations with extreme courtesy and care.

Relationships should bring balance, harmony and contribute happiness to each area of your life, not the contrary. Eliminate toxic relationships from your life, or create boundaries in which these people cannot inflict their drama on your life. No one should have to substitute their personal joy for someone else’s negativity.
