We are all guilty of planning our lives out to the very last detail. As kids, we plan out general details like how many kids we want ourselves, down to what designer who will create our perfect wedding dress, and as adults this only gets worse. The problem with extensively planning of life details is that we are more than often left disappointed.
Planning also involves a certain element of societal norms: i.e. go to college, get a job, get married, have kids. As we grow older, we realize the many unexpected occurrences which throw these ‘societal norm’ plans of course. Babies, illness, death, divorce, financial issues and job changes can disrupt your plans and send you for a tailspin.
While planning is important in some regard, try to get away from as much of it as you can. When you stop planning a funny little thing happens: you start living! Spend less of your time planning, and you will quickly realize all of the amazing opportunities which you let enter life with open arms.
